Sandra Swirski | sswirski@philanthropycollaborative.org
Ms. Swirski is Senior Advisor to The Philanthropic Collaborative and has extensive experience in non-profit policy circles. In addition to advising several non-profits, Ms. Swirski is a frequent speaker at philanthropic and non-profit conferences. A tax lawyer, Ms. Swirski was a senior Congressional aide for two of the most prominent Republicans to serve on the Senate Finance Committee -- Senator Jack Danforth (R-MO) and Senator Alan Simpson (R-WY). Prior to working on Capitol Hill, Ms. Swirski was an associate with Ernst & Young. She holds a JD from the George Washington University and an LLM in taxation from Georgetown University.

Michael McHugh is the Director of Federal Affairs for The Philanthropic Collaborative. Michael comes to The Philanthropic Collaborative from the Office of Senator Gordon H. Smith (R-OR), where he served as a Legislative Assistant working on a range of issues including many on the powerful Senate Finance and Energy Committees. Before his public service, Michael consulted on strategic sourcing and corporate social responsibility. He is pursuing a Masters in National Security from the U.S. Naval War College, and holds a degree in Political Science: International Relations from UCLA.

Leslie Ogden | logden@philanthropycollaborative.org
Leslie Ogden is a Federal Affairs Associate for The Philanthropic Collaborative. Leslie comes to The Philanthropic Collaborative after holding a variety of policy and political positions throughout Washington, DC. On the Hill, she worked for Senator Kay Hagan (D-NC) after the 2008 election. She held positions at the National Security Network and the Department of State in the Bureau of International Organization Affairs, Office of Human Rights. Leslie also worked for NDN/New Policy Institute, assisting the President on his policy and political projects. While attending Tufts University, Leslie studied International Relations and Political Science, and was a founding member of the Tufts Roosevelt Institute Chapter. She graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Jack Peterson | jpeterson@philanthropycollaborative.org
Jack Peterson is a Federal Affairs Associate for The Philanthropic Collaborative. Prior to joining The Philanthropic Collaborative, Jack worked for Congresswoman Linda Sanchez (D-CA) in an administrative role and assisted her Ways and Means Committee staff. He also worked for a political consulting firm, the Eleison Group, on a variety of political and non-profit projects. Additionally, Jack worked for Congressman Leonard Boswell (D-IA) through the 2012 election cycle, handling legislative research and correspondence. Jack graduated from Davidson College in May 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
