In the first round, Arsenal defeated Fulham (3: 0), after which they won a victory over West Ham (2: 1). The match with the Hammers turned out, perhaps, not so simple, but for the Premier League this is a normal story. Moreover, Arsenal have shown that they have finally learned how to squeeze where they would have lost points before.
Another success of Arsenal is the victory over Leicester (2: 0) in the English League Cup. Another tactical triumph of Arteta.
